WHO CAN APPLY?
Whether you’re the big fish or just a guppy splashing around in the creative pond, here’s your shot at proving your worth. BalCannes isn’t just about trophies—it’s about reminding the region (and yourself) that creativity can thrive in even the tightest of budgets and wildest of client demands. Beyond celebrating the spirit of the region and bringing together the best agencies and advertisers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia, BalCannes is a testament to the unparalleled creativity and originality that often go beyond market constraints—and frequently thrive in spite of them.
HOW TO APPLY? IN THREE STEPS!
- Fill in your project deets: project name, agency and client names, the category you’re applying in, and the company submitting the project.
- Show us your stuff: as a video summary or a PDF document. In the new Design Mosaic track (Track II), you must present your work exclusively in a PDF format. The video summary can be up to 3 minutes long.
- Upload your campaign visual in .jpg/.jpeg format (A4 size recommended) with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, which will be used for promotional purposes. You must also include a brief summary of the main challenge from the brief, your solution, and the achieved results (max. 150 words). Brevity is the soul of wit—or in this case, credibility.
NEW BENEFITS FOR ENTRANTS
Been submitting for the past two years? You’re in luck. The 3+1 deal gives you a free fourth entry after three paid ones. Haven’t submitted anything in two years? Consider this your redemption arc: your first entry is on the house.
You can apply for BalCannes 2025 until 20 January 2025. Projects eligible for submission must have been realized during the two-year qualification period from January 20, 2023, to January 20, 2025. It’s important to note that projects this year can compete in three tracks: Market Mosaic, Design Mosaic, and Positive Change Mosaic. You can submit the same project multiple times—your work can be entered into more than one category across all three tracks.
