Panel POWERED BY HEP
It seems like a bit of an understatement to say that there has been a lot going on with the pandemic – especially when we question how it has affected diversity programs within companies. We’ve seen organizations talk about equity, belonging, diversity and other expressions, but with many points in history where society reflects on expectations, the pandemic era has presented an opportunity for change and the question remains – what do companies do and could have done better to foster diversity and inclusion during challenging times?
As employees across the globe engage in discussions of fairness and equality, leaders are seizing the moment to consider their roles to advance equity and inclusion. But with recent DEI (Diversity Equity & Inclusion) showing, amongst other findings, that 40 % of women agree marital status could hinder a career, many questions arise. How are the pandemic era induced E&D initiatives different from other movements, like the #MeToo and Time’s Up? With the cancel culture, are the leaders afraid of misstepping so they rather opt to do nothing? What praiseworthy moves are organizations making at this sensitive moment in time – and what mistakes?
Panel is moderated by Paula Baburić (Creative Excellence Director, Publicis) with Božidar Abramović (CEO, Omnicom Media Group), Jelena Fiškuš (Creative Director & Owner, Studio Sonda), Maja Ljubičić (Head of Commercial Operations, Philip Morris Zagreb) and Filipa Petrović (Regional Marketing Manager, Dell Technologies).
