DK2026 unveils the visual identity for the 12th edition

DK Festival is rolling out a refreshed visual identity for their 12th edition, taking place in Rovinj from 7 to 10 May. The visual identity is signed by Sven Sorić and Jelena Babić and is built around an open, deliberately unfinished concept: “This is the new.

With 80+ program segments, more than 200 speakers across five festival stages and over 130 partners, DK2026 is entering the new edition with an identity that refuses to stand still. As with previous years, the festival treats its visual language not as a closed system, but as a living platform – one that shifts, reacts and questions the moment it exists in.

“This is the new” starts from a simple premise: new is no longer an exception. It’s the default. The headline is intentionally open, designed to be extended, reinterpreted and rewritten – from new normal to new creativity to new festival. There are no fixed meanings and no final answers. DK doesn’t define what new is; it curates the space where it happens.

The verbal and visual layers once again operate as a single, recognizable system that evolves year after year. Familiar elements remain but are reworked and reframed. Lines grow denser as the festival itself becomes more complex. Black-and-white contrasts, interrupted by grey-black halftone lines, create patterns that feel both known and slightly off – stable, but never static.

Sometimes the visual system frames the message. Sometimes it underlines it. Sometimes it deliberately breaks it. Glitches interrupt the flow, forcing a pause, a reread, a second look. The identity plays with perception, trust and interpretation – fitting for a time in which the line between what’s real and what’s generated is increasingly hard to pin down.

This visual identity doesn’t package new as a finished product. It treats it as a process. An experience. An ongoing state.

That approach will continue to unfold at DK2026, taking place from 7 to 10 May 2026 at Hotel Lone in Rovinj. Registrations are now open.
