I have already purchased my ticket for DK2020, can I use it in April 2021? 



All tickets already purchased remain valid for the new festival date on 15-18 April 2021. And we have some great news!



DK festival is happiness, and happiness should be shared. This is why your festival tickets and bookings in Maistra hotels remain valid for the new date of the festival as well. But catch this – for every third ticket already purchased, you get one for free for a lucky colleague from your company!

I tried everything but I can’t attend
the new dates, what now?



If you have purchased your festival ticket before 22 September 2020 and you can’t make the new dates, no need to worry. After crying your eyes out, you can either use the same ticket for your colleague instead (for 5+2 or 10+5 group deals, they need to be from the same company as you) or yourself for DK2022.

I have already booked my accommodation in Maistra hotels, can I use it in April?



Your stylish suite, that sinfully delicious hotel breakfast, poolside chilling, relaxing in spa&amp;wellness… all of these luxurious amenities will still be waiting for you in April. All room reservations in Maistra hotels confirmed before 22 September are automatically valid for the new festival dates under the exact same conditions so no need to do anything, just confirm your reservation by replying to an e-mail from Maistra that will find its way to your inbox soon.    



If for any reason
you wish to make changes to your reservation or cannot make the new dates,

Instead of April, DK festival will be held 29-31 October 2020 when global industry leaders will come to Hotel Lone in Rovinj to inspire the communications industry for three days.



Instead of the beginning of April, DK festival will take place on 29-31 October 2020. Following the WHO guidelines on the global spread of coronavirus and our commitment to the safety of all 3000 attendees, speakers and partners who make our unusual festival one of the best events in the world, we have decided to reschedule DK2020 to October. The decision was also based on the fact that several companies of festival speakers and participants have imposed bans on travel and attendance of public gatherings. The rescheduling put the festival on a growing list of national and international events that adapted their schedule to the precarious circumstances, prioritising the safety and well-being of every individual.

How to communicate creatively and act responsibly? Find out at&nbsp;DK&nbsp;Piknik&nbsp;by&nbsp;Jamnica&nbsp;Botanica&nbsp;on Tuesday and Wednesday&nbsp;in the outdoor greenery and fresh air of Park&nbsp;Maksimir.



We have been social distancing for months now, which is exactly why communication and education have become more important than ever. At DK Piknik by Jamnica Botanica, held on 30 June and 1 July in Park Maksimir, you will learn about effective and creative ways to communicate in these unusual times – while practising responsible behaviour to the maximum.



Even though we won’t be exchanging X’s and O’s, love from a distance is more than welcome – because in true love even the greatest distance can be bridged. So forget about hugs and kisses and show some long-distance love to our incredible speakers who will make this summery picnic an unforgettable experience. Ben Hammersley, a futurist and visionary, will join us online at DK Piknik while Thijs Launspach, a psychologist who specializes in stress management, and Heidi Priebe, a personality expert, will make sure our mental health is in pristine condition during these stressful times. For everyone else there will be&nbsp;a limited number of tickets&nbsp;that will be available for purchase. It is strongly recommended that all participants check for signs of fever, shortness of breath or any other symptoms of coronavirus disease before coming to the event. Everyone who is self-isolating because they returned from the countries that are on The Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia's list 14 days before the start of the event or are in self-isolation for any other reason are advised to follow the prescribed safety measures and act responsibly towards other participants. If they are not in self-isolation, they are free to attend the event given they provide a negative test result for coronavirus.

Prva DK poslovna konferencija u prirodi, koja&nbsp;se&nbsp;nakon mjeseci izolacije održala&nbsp;u Maksimirskom perivoju 30. lipnja i 1. srpnja u after-work terminu, uz potrebne mjere sigurnosti i distance, uspješno je otvorila&nbsp;ljetnu sezonu&nbsp;te&nbsp;domaćoj komunikacijskoj industriji omogućila dugo priželjkivano te prijeko potrebno druženje i razmjenjivanje dojmova nakon&nbsp;nekoliko&nbsp;izazovnih mjeseci.

Združili smo najbolje od onlinea i offlinea – pa smo zajedno tijekom dva dana uživali u uvidima&nbsp;šest međunarodnih predavača, niza domaćih stručnjaka, ali i druženju pod vedrim nebom u zelenilu Maksimira. Nakon mjeseci karantene i izolacije, baš nam je to trebalo! Nije bilo boljeg načina za druženje s klijentima koje dugo nismo vidjeli, razmjenjivanje dojmova i uživanje u kvalitetnim sadržajima.



Suzdržali smo se od ljubljenja i grljenja, redovito smo dezinficirali ruke, nosili maskice i poštovali fizički razmak kako bismo uz osiguranu visoku razinu sigurnosti svi ostali zdravi, ali smo se svejedno i sa sigurne udaljenosti zaljubili u predavače i atmosferu ljetnoga Piknika – ionako kažu da su veze na daljinu uvijek zanimljivije od onih uobičajenih.

DK festival can fit several hundred people and it is always filled to the brim
or even more. This year everyone got the front row experience – from their
homes! The winners announcement illustrated the major importance of Effie,

The winners
announcements, where viewers gave standing ovations from the comfort of their
homes, were one of the first of their kind in the world. A total of 10
Effie, 36 IdejaX and 12 MIXX awards were presented during the live streams,
which amassed over 25 000 views with a high audience interaction rate,
making this year’s award shows the most watched ever. These online
announcements, all the entries and everyone who tuned in showed that creativity
knows no social boundaries and that it has the power to influence our
everyday lives and change the world for the better.

Effie, IdejaX and MIXX winners to get their statues soon after the winners announcement amassed more than 25 000 views

Effie has an 11-year-long tradition of awarding best Croatian agencies and advertisers for their excellent work in market communications, and now it is more important than ever to inspire the communications industry to raise positive awareness among the public. Following the MIXX and IdejaX winners announcement that garnered more than 10 000 views, Effie winners were revealed on Friday during a Facebook live stream.



The winners of Effie Croatia Awards, which celebrates the
efficiency of the marketing industry, were announced during a live stream on Friday,
17 April on DK festival Facebook page. Grand Prix went to Zagrebačka
pivovara and BBDO Zagreb in collaboration with Universal McCann and Degordian
for the ‘Ostajemo di smo’ project.



Besides Grand Prix, there were two gold Effie winners: Pipi
beverages and Imago Ogilvy in collaboration with Drap for the 'Boli me
Pipi' project as well as Hrvatski Telekom and McCann Zagreb with the
help of Degordian and Pro Media Group for their ‘Unlimited obitelj’
project.



The winners of this year’s silver Effie are Tele2 and Imago Ogilvy in collaboration with Media Polis, iProspect, Riba ribi grize rep and Drap with the ‘Pokućni internet’ project. Erste bank and Utorak and BBDO Zagreb were also awarded the silver Effie for their ‘Povratak’project, which was done in collaboration with 404 and MediaCom Zagreb.



The following projects received the bronze Effie awards: ‘Prilika života’by Iskon internet and Señor together with Pro Media Group and 404; ‘Samo opušteno!’by Jamnica Plus and PINK MOON in collaboration with Pro Media Group; ‘Veliki hrvatski naivci’ by CARNET and Señor, with the helping hands of Vedran Klemens, Marin Balaić and Dubravko Robić; ‘Žuja za tate 2’ by Zagrebačka pivovara and BBDO Zagreb, in collaboration with Universal McCann and Degordian.



Despite the current state of the world, there
is always room for amazing and successfully realized marketing ideas on the
market. This was reflected in the two-night event where national and regional
industry experts united as one – after the first night of announcing winners of
two competitions, which was watched by more than 10 000 people from Croatia
and the region, the second night was dedicated to announcing the Effie
winners and exchanging thoughts on the projects on DK festival Facebook
page.

The organizers congratulated the winners as well as all the entrants
and clearly stated that it doesn’t matter if Effie, as the preeminent marketing
initiative in Croatia and the world that promotes the connection between

agency offices. Therefore, they have invited the industry to continue
working, in accordance with National civil protection recommendations, emphasizing
the need to continue creating ideas that work because they have the
potential to inspire change and shine bright at next year’s Effie Awards.

Zagrebačka pivovara and BBDO Zagreb win Effie Grand Prix at the first online winners announcement

At a time when everyone’s health
and well-being is essential, the communications industry looks back on the best
creative projects of the previous year from the comfort of their homes to
inspire creativity that has the power to build a better world.



The evening of 16 April was
reserved for an online winners announcement of IdejaX, a national creative
competition. The winners of Grand Prix 2020 are Bruketa&amp;Žinić&amp;Grey
and Radgonske gorice with their ‘Untouched by Light – Svjetlom
netaknuto’ project. The title of the agency of the year went to Bruketa&amp;Žinić&amp;Grey
while Radgonske gorice was named advertiser of the year at this year’s IdejaX competition.



The list of
top five agencies of IdejaX in winning order also includes Saatchi&amp;Saatchi
Croatia, Imago Ogilvy, BBDO Zagreb, McCann Zagreb.



Agencies of
all shapes and sizes compete at IdejaX Awards with their creative ideas and
marketing projects, which can receive gold, silver or bronze awards. This year
the following projects proved to be the best.

Bruketa&Žinić&Grey win Grand Prix and named IdejaX agency of the year; Radgonske gorice named best advertiser at IdejaX

Amidst crisis, creativity mixed with technology can change lives – this is why the first ever online winners announcement of the Croatian communications industry took place, where the spotlight was given to the best of the digital industry whose projects of the previous year stood out from the rest.



On 16 April the national and regional audience enjoyed the MIXX Awards winners announcement, which didn’t take place in Rovinj this year, but on a live stream – because creativity must go on despite the difficult circumstances. Pipi and Imago Ogilvy celebrated remotely – their Spomenik neisklesanom tijelu project won in the Best in Show category at this year’s MIXX Awards.



MIXX is a competition which awards the best
digital campaigns per IAB international licence. Besides the Best in Show
category, 11 winners of the following categories were also announced: Brand
Awareness Campaign, Cross Media Integration Campaign, Direct Response and Lead
Generation, Best Website, Best Mobile App, Best Branded Content, Best Media
Strategy, Best Search, Best Tech&amp;innovation, Best Social and Best
Publisher Long-Form Native.



Wiener osiguranje and Degordian received the award for their ‘UHO – Utočište
Hrabrih Online’ project in the Brand Awareness Campaign category.



Vegeta and Izone are the winners in the Cross Media Integration

Bluesun Hotels &amp; Resorts and Httpool were recognized in the&nbsp;Direct Response

In a conversation with Ekrem Dupanović from Media Marketing, Dunja Ivana Ballon, DK festival and program director, revealed how this idea came to be, what challenges they had to overcome, who was a part of the team that made this possible and many more details. Media Marketing: DK festival is <a href="https://danikomunikacija.com/news/days-of-communication-recognized-as-one-of-the-best-events-in-the-world" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">one of the best events in the world according to international experts</a>. The decision was not hard to make – grand ceremonies and fancy outfits were never the point of HURA’s awards. Professionals recognizing their peers who dare to be different in their creative work, those who aspire to make a difference, bring positive change into the word and boost the economy? That’s the real thing. This night is for them. We're going back to basics.

Media Marketing: How will the two-night event unfold? We won’t reveal any secrets, but do share some details that will encourage people to watch the show?

Dunja Ivana Ballon: We’re quarantined, isolated and the ground is litterally shaking all the time. We won’t pretend it’s something it’s not. The conditions are obviously far from ideal – the stream is improvised, we’re broadcasting from somebody’s kitchen, we rely on the strength of 50 different home internet connections, we’re shooting with a plain laptop and phone camera, and the audience is present from their couch. This stream is a reflection of our time and current reality, at the same time a living proof that when it’s hardest we stick together, modest and with a big heart. Maybe a glass of wine too. :)

Our producers Lara Stolnik and Bojan Katnić found a way to do the impossible and within these constraints only a couple of days ago managed to find a way to showcase all the winning projects as well as include all the winners live in the stream. This way we achieved our primary purpose to highlight all the incredible projects and wonderful people behind them, so tonight we actually won’t miss anything, besides sunny Rovinj!

Media Marketing: How many people were involved in the preparation of this project, who is behind the production and who are some key figures behind the whole thing?

Dunja Ivana Ballon: During this pandemic and earthquakes, while HURA’s resources have been focused 24/7 on helping everyone in our market to survive this crisis, Silvija Kovačić, our Head of Awards, with the big help of Lana Stjepanović, managed to coordinate 60 jury members, several jury meetings, the whole jury process for three different competitions, all of that transferred completely online within days with extremely limited resources. She coordinated all the key steps with the organizing committees of each respective competition as well as HURA’s Board. In the end, judging by the jury members’ comments, everything went smoothly!

At the time, this seemingly unusual idea of an online winners announcement came from Nikola Žinić, member of DK festival’s organizing committee, and Anđela Buljan Šiber, HURA’s Chairwoman. The idea was taken on a completely another level thanks to Lara Stolnik and Bojan Katnić, our co-producers who have been hard at work to make this happen. The communication part was led by our Barbara Tolić, who has been in Slavonski Brod dislocated from her home ever since the earthquake, while our social media was well taken care of by Leon Tetec and Igor Živković from Izone and our Marin Vlainić from HURA. For the host we chose the one and only Ida Prester, who, for this special occasion, has the honor of simultaneously working as a set designer, lighting and sound technician, camera crew, make-up artist and a stylist. After she puts her children to bed, of course.

Production in the era of pandemics... The other day during an online meeting we discussed if Ida’s frying pan could serve as a suspense gong or a drumroll… spoiler: it can. So what else is there to say – it’s hard, really hard, some days more, some days less, but creativity will not be cancelled! Let’s stay positive and see you all tonight!

The announcement of the best projects of the communications industry, traditionally held during DK festival in Rovinj, this year is going online. The organizers from The Croatian Association of Communications Agencies (HURA)
maintain that it is now more important than ever to award exceptional
industry experts and their achievements of the previous year because their work
makes the creative excellence standard continually rise, building a better
future for the whole industry.

Two jury groups have selected the finalists of two IdejaX groups of categories based on an online discussion. Read on to find out the complete list of finalists in each category...



IdejaX is a national creative
competition that has been celebrating the creativity of agencies for 10 years.
The creative projects were submitted to two groups of categories. The Best
on Market group of categories awards projects according to the clients'
industry category and both fully-realized campaigns and individual parts of a
single campaign are eligible. The Best of Ad-Making group of
categories celebrates the art of execution, especially the format and functionality
that helped realize the idea behind the project.



The Best on Market jury was presided by Daniel Vuković (McCann Zagreb), and the rest of the jury members were Almir Okanović (BBDO Zagreb), Anselmo Tumpić (Studio TUMPIĆ/PRENC), Igor Mladinović (Imago Ogilvy), Ivan Tanić (Saatchi &amp; Saatchi Hrvatska), Ivan Tušek (Degordian), Jurica Ćorluka (Señor), Sean Poropat (Studio Sonda), Tonči Klarić (UNFOLD), Vanja Ćinić (Bruketa&amp;Žinić&amp;Grey) and two regional members that joined to ensure jury neutrality: Ana Šutić (New Moment New Ideas Company) and Blaž Vuk (Pristop). Two of the top 25 creative people in the world by Forbes and The Drum – Rei Inamoto and Merlee Jayme at DK festival will reveal what the key to success is in the era of hyperproduction and blandness.

The best projects of the communications industry will be awarded at DK2020, held 29-31 October in Hotel Lone in Rovinj. The entries for competitions IdejaX and MIXX are now open to all agencies who wish to apply their creative projects. These prestigious competitions celebrate their tenth anniversary and the organizers have something special planned for this year's best of the best.



IdejaX



To celebrate the tenth edition of <a href="https://danikomunikacija.com/awards/idejax">IdejaX</a>, a national creative competition that celebrates the most original and unique ideas which push the boundaries, the organizers prepared a special prize for the Grand Prix winner – in addition to covering the cost of the entry fee for the winning project for Cannes Lions 2020, the winner will also receive a pass for the biggest international festival of creativity!



A group of categories Media Neutral,
important to advertisers from various industry disciplines, has been renamed to
Best on Market, while a group of categories Craft, which
caters to digital designers and production studios, is now called Best of
Ad-Making.



IdejaX is open to integrated campaigns as well
as individual projects that ran from 1 January 2019 to 2 March 2020. You
can submit your applications until 9 March, which marks the final
deadline that will not be postponed.



MIXX



The <a href="https://danikomunikacija.com/awards/mixx">MIXX</a> competition celebrates its tenth anniversary by continuing to recognize the best digital advertising campaigns and digital tools/platforms within market communications. A special jury will declare the winners – it will consist of 9 previous jury presidents, experts who are vastly acquainted with the competition's philosophy. The president of the first MIXX jury Saša Škorić (Publicis) is coming back to reprise his role at this year's competition.

In the last decade there was a great change in
digital marketing and platforms, which is reflected in the adjustment of awards
categories over the last ten years, so the organizers decided to keep the
number of categories the same as last year. Competitors can apply for three
awards for the campaigns and the Best in Show award, while digital tools and
platforms are awarded in eight categories.



The jury will look for creativity, strategy,
execution, media use and results. You can apply your projects up until 20
February 2020. Projects who ran from 1 January 2019 to 20 February 2020
are eligible.
