The best projects have been selected by the expert jury of advertisers and agencies, and what follows is the selection for the special BalCannes Editor’s Pick Award and the announcement of finalists!
The best projects of BalCannes 2023 have been selected! And yes – in addition to celebrating the spirit of this region and uniting the best agencies and advertisers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia, the BalCannes competition is without a doubt proof of exceptional creativity and out-of-the-box originality that goes beyond national borders, sometimes due to market conditions – but most often despite them.
The importance of BalCannes is also recognised by the incredible trust of regional creatives: more than 180 projects were entered into the new edition of this regional competition, which also marks a record number of entries for BalCannes, among which almost a quarter of all projects were entered in the Social Responsibility category. This indicates the region’s awareness of the importance of communicating ethical messages and their important role in driving positive change. This goes to prove that the world isn’t that grey, on the contrary – BalCannes shows that it can be quite colourful!
The best among the projects will be celebrated at the award ceremony of the DK2023 festival, which will be held in Rovinj from 20-23 April.
Advertising experts who diligently selected the region’s best projects are:
Petra Čadež (Atlantic Group, Slovenia), Jelena Čađenović (A1 Serbia, Serbia), Urban Kramberger (Pivovarna Laško Union, Slovenia), Nađa Lutvikadić Fočo (BH Telecom, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Maja Naumovska Saveska (HALKBANK AD Skopje, North Macedonia), Alina Radusin (Wiener osiguranje Vienna Insurance Group, Croatia) and Zvonimir Seki (Franck, Croatia).
The following agency experts also decided on the best projects:
Luka Bajs (SHIFT, Slovenia), Sašo Dimitrievski (Pristop, Slovenia), Jelena Fiškuš (Studio Sonda, Croatia), Bojan Hadžihalilović (Fabrika, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Vladimir Mitrović (Ovation BBDO, Serbia), Sašo Pešev (New Moment Skopje, North Macedonia), Anja Radulović (Leo Burnett Belgrade, Serbia), Dejan Spirkoski (Saatchi & Saatchi, North Macedonia), Dejan Šijuk (Aquarius Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina), Nikola Žinić (Bruketa&Žinić&Grey, Croatia).
What follows is the selection for the special BalCannes Editor’s Pick Award, which will be handled by an expert jury of regional industry media representatives, as well as the announcement of the BalCannes finalists. The story of the colourful regional creativity does not end there – in April ensues the awards ceremony, and then the publication of the BalCannes Report, a report that will surely come in handy to the region’s industry experts!
