The regional creative scene comes together as BalCannes awards the best from five markets

The Grand Prix of BalCannes at the DK Festival was won by Via Media and Bingo Group, Bruketa&Žinić&Grey is the Best Agency of the BalCannes region and Hrvatski Telekom is the Best Advertiser of the region!

The winners of BalCannes, a regional creativity competition where agencies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia compete with their creative ideas, were announced on 7 May on the stage of the DK Festival, which brought together the best of regional creativity in Rovinj. The Grand Prix was won by Via Media and Bingo Group for the project It’s time to stop!.

The special Editor’s Pick Award, selected by representatives of industry media from the region, went to Hrvatski Telekom and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project HT GPS locator – so you always know where your pet is. The Impact Prix, a new special award for a project that has measurably changed society, culture or the environment, was won by Via Media and Bingo Group for the project It’s time to stop!.

Awards were also presented to the best BalCannes agencies by individual markets: Via Media (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Bruketa&Žinić&Grey (Croatia), McCann Skopje (North Macedonia), McCann Beograd (Serbia), Futura DDB (Slovenia). The title of Agency of the Year at this year’s edition of BalCannes was awarded to Bruketa&Žinić&Grey. Awards for the best advertisers went to: Bingo Group (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Hrvatski Telekom (Croatia), Halkbank Skopje (North Macedonia), Koncern Bambi (Serbia), Podravka (Slovenia). The title of Advertiser of the Year at this year’s edition of BalCannes was won by Hrvatski Telekom.

At BalCannes, which this year brought together the best of creativity from five countries in the region, agencies competed across four groups – I. Best on Market, II. Best in Channel, III. Best Branding and Rebranding and IV. Best of Positive Change – and were able to win bronze, silver and gold awards for their projects within the categories. Below is a list of category winners, selected as the best by this year’s expert jury.

FOOD

The gold award in the Food category was won by Podravka and Agencija 101 for the project Maestro: Prva mešanica začimb za slovenske jedi. Silver was won by Koncern Bambi and Friday Finally for the project WFL/NPLTK.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Gold in the Alcoholic Beverages category was won by Piquentum (Vinski Podrum Buzet) and Studio Sonda for the project Label created by the wine itself – Piquentum Brut Nature. Silver was won by Ožujsko pivo and BBDO Zagreb for the project Budi velik, učini malu stvar.

NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Gold in the Non-Alcoholic Beverages category was won by Studenac and Imago Ogilvy for the project A CRY FOR HYDRATION. Silver was won by Cetina and CTA komunikacije for the project Nature’s most beautiful story.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

In the Telecommunications category, gold was won by A1 Hrvatska and BBDO Zagreb for the project Dječja posla. Silver was won by Hrvatski Telekom and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project HT GPS locator – so you always know where your pet is. The bronze award was won by Hrvatski Telekom and Imago Ogilvy for the project Da se razumijemo.

FINANCE AND INSURANCE

In the Finance and Insurance category, gold was won by Halkbank Skopje and McCann Skopje for the project Made in shade.

RETAIL

In the Retail category, gold was won by Bingo Group and Via Media for the project It’s time to stop!. Silver was won by SPAR Slovenia, Združenje Europa Donna Slovenija and AV Studio for the project Pink receipt.

HEALTH AND PHARMACY

The gold award in the Health & Pharmacy category was won by Croatia Poliklinika and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project Your posture is your future. The silver award was won by Essity / Libresse and BBDO Zagreb for the project Baby Blues. The bronze award was won by Onkoman and Futura DDB for the project Text to Dad.

TOURISM, CULTURE AND LEISURE

The gold award in the Tourism, Culture and Leisure category was won by Poreč Public Library and Studio Sonda for the project BOOKtiga 2025 – Choose a book, enter the film.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

In the Corporate Communications category, gold was won by Hrvatski Telekom and Imago Ogilvy for the project Moja veza.

ENTERTAINMENT

In the Entertainment category, gold was won by SEAT / CUPRA Germany and Futura DDB for the project Crash Text Auto.

MISCELLANEOUS

The gold award in the Miscellaneous category was won by Autonomni ženski centar & partners and McCann Beograd for the project Till Death Do Us Part. Silver was won by WWF Adria and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project Panda’s Swear Jar.

BEST TV SPOT & FILM

The gold award in the Best TV Spot & Film category was won by Halkbank Skopje and McCann Skopje for the project Made in shade. The silver award was won by A1 Hrvatska and BBDO Zagreb for the project Dječja posla. The bronze award in the Best TV Spot & Film category was won by m:tel BiH and Aquarius Group for the project Tri priče, tri pjesme.

BEST ONLINE VIDEO

The gold award in the Best Online Video category was won by Studenac and Imago Ogilvy for the project A CRY FOR HYDRATION. The silver award was won by Halkbank Skopje and McCann Skopje for the project Made in shade. The bronze award in the Best Online Video category was won by Samsung Srbija and McCann Beograd for the project Samsung Raspustolovina 2.

BEST PRINT (AD, PUBLICATION, POSTER)

In the Best Print (Ad, Publication, Poster) category, gold was won by Hrvatski Telekom and Imago Ogilvy for the project Moja veza. The silver awards were won by SPAR SLOVENIA, ZDRUŽENJE EUROPA DONNA SLOVENIA i AV STUDIO for the project Pink receipt, as well as Zvjezdarnica Višnjan and Studio Sonda for the project Astrofest – plakat kao sat. The bronze award in the Best Print (Ad, Publication, Poster) category was won by Halkbank Skopje and Effectiva agency for the project Music Posters “Music Embroidered in Jazz Sounds”.

BEST OUTDOOR – OOH

The gold award in the Best Outdoor – OOH category was won by Hrvatski Telekom and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project The poster that helps find lost dogs. Silver was won by Knjaz Miloš and Fullhouse Ogilvy for the project Guarana Zero RE(LAUNCH). The bronze award was won by Poreč Public Library and Studio Sonda for the project BOOKtiga 2025 – Choose a book, enter the film.

BEST DIGITAL OUTDOOR – DOOH

The gold award in the Best Experiential Advertising & Events category was won by Bingo Group and Via Media for the project It’s time to stop!. Silver was won by Mastercard Slovenija and Povem for the project Signs of inclusion: Inclusivity is the key. The bronze award in the Best Online Video category was won by Croatia Poliklinika and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project Your posture is your future.

BEST LOW-VOLUME PACKAGING DESIGN

In the Best Low-Volume Packaging Design category, gold was won by Piquentum (Vinski Podrum Buzet) and Studio Sonda for the project Label created by the wine itself – Piquentum Brut Nature. Silver was won by Mylando and Studio Tumpić/Prenc for the project Famìa – House of local products. The bronze award was won by Vinska klet Bjana and Futura DDB for the project Hand Touched by Bjana.

BEST HIGH-VOLUME PACKAGING DESIGN

The gold award in the Best High-Volume Packaging Design category was won by NoCap and Studio Sonda for the project NO!CAP Granola Packaging. Silver was won by Marodi and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project Marodi Superfoodie packaging. In the Best Rebranding category, silver was won by Koncern Bambi and Friday Finally for the project WFL/NPLTK. The bronze award was won by BAČELIĆ and Bruketa&Žinić&Grey for the project Rebranding with a new pattern of excellence.
