The best projects of the Young Lions Croatia competition in six categories — Design, Digital, Marketers, Media, Print, and PR — will be chosen by 11 experts and one secret jury member, and you can apply until 16 February 2024.
Young Lions Croatia, in partnership with Elan, once again provides an opportunity for young professionals up to 30 years old to compete away from their colleagues for the title of Croatia’s best of the best. The most successful projects will be presented at this year’s edition of DK Festival in Rovinj, and the best team will have the honor of representing Croatia at the Cannes Young Lions competition and experiencing the incredible energy of the Cannes Lions festival. In order to ensure that the highest quality entries are recognized in all competition categories, the jury this year consists of a diverse range of experts from various fields of the communications industry.
The president of this year’s jury is Manuela Šola (Komunikacijski laboratorij), and she will be joined by Stella Antunović (Val grupa), Dunja Delić (Konzum), Marko Đurković (EssenceMediacom), Nela Fegić Moguljak (Imago Ogilvy), Đuro Korać (Nivas), Monika Majstorović (A1 Hrvatska), Martina Pavić (BBDO Zagreb), Mihaela Pavlović (Futura DDB), Vjeko Srednoselec (dentsu Croatia), Eetu Tourunen (Elan), and a secret member, who will represent the client — a nonprofit organization — who will introduce themselves to the competitors at the beginning of the competition.
There is an important piece of news this year because, while previously only representatives of agencies and/or freelancers could enter the competition, this year the rest of the marketing industry will also join, in a separate category called Marketers. The dynamic flow of the competition is already familiar to everyone: the host of the competition will be the Zagreb Innovation Center (ZICER), and after gathering and presenting the brief, everyone ready for the lion’s share of work will find themselves in the communication wilderness, from which they must emerge within 24 hours with a creative solution for the client in a team of two, with the help of creative materials provided by the creative partner of the competition, Shutterstock, which offers its database to the competitors.
The humanitarian nature of the competition — the winning solution is given to a nonprofit humanitarian organization or civil society organization free of charge — is an extra motivation for excellence, and the fact that it involves a local client, who remains confidential until the start of the competition, also indicates a positive local change, further enhancing the excitement.
If you’re ready for a challenge that can advance your career and change your life, your story begins right here — at the Young Lions Croatia competition. Check all the details on the official competition website and apply with your creative partner by 16 February 2024.
The awards ceremony will be held at DK2024 in April.
