IdejaX is now open for entries, and its latest edition has two new categories — Priroda and Društvo, and one new track, Best of Packaging, while the eligibility period spans from 5 September 2022 until 18 February 2024.
IdejaX is a national creativity competition where agencies and independent professionals successfully compete with their creative ideas. Organized under the auspices of the Croatian Association of Communications Agencies (HURA) as a part of DK Festival, IdejaX awards the most original and unique ideas that push the boundaries of creativity.
This year, there are 21 categories in 5 tracks at IdejaX:
- Best on Market, which awards the best ideas in 12 business categories
- Best of Ad-Making, which celebrates the art of implementation and craft in Digital, Film and Design categories
- Best Branding & Rebranding, for categories dedicated to best new branding and visual identity, as well as rebranding
- Best of Packaging, which awards the most innovative and creative ideas in the world of packaging design
- Best of Positive Change, a track that recognizes the best socially responsible projects, or more precisely, the power of creativity that starts positive changes in the world.
Packaging designers will be thrilled to hear that we have prepared something for them — IV. Best of Packaging celebrates the most innovative and creative ideas in the world of packaging design. Davor Bruketa (Bruketa&Žinić&Grey), member of the IdejaX Organizing Committee, explained: With the disappearance of Cropak in 2018, there was a significant void in the professional lives of everyone involved in packaging. I am pleased that, five years later, IdejaX will partially fill that gap with a special competitive category for one of the most important tools in the communications industry.
A friendly reminder — both the idea and the execution will be judged, taking into account the sustainability factor in the context of the chosen materials and the process of production. You can enter your projects in two categories: Mala naklada for packaging produced in less than 10,000 units, and Velika naklada for packaging produced in more than 10,000 units.
The V. Best of Positive Change track has two new categories for all those projects that are changing the world for the better: Priroda, a category where you can submit all those ideas that are encouraging eco-friendly decisions and/or making eco-friendly products and services more popular, and Društvo, a category that celebrates the ideas whose goal is to start a positive social or cultural change, to challenge established norms and stereotypes that create social inequality.
Entries in the Best on Market and Best of Positive Change groups of categories were evaluated by: Jurica Ćorluka (Señor), Ivan Golubić (Bruketa&Žinić&Grey), Krešimir Grancarić (McCann Zagreb), Alen Kekić (I TO NIJE SVE), Luka Mavretić (Imago Ogilvy), Martina Pavić (BBDO Zagreb), Mihaela Pavlović (FuturaDDB), Sean Poropat (Studio Sonda), Ivan Tanić (Šanavala), Duje Tičinović (Lesles), Anselmo Tumpić (Studio Tumpić/Prenc) and Jakov Vilović (UTORAK).
The Best of Ad-Making group of categories celebrates the art of implementation, paying special attention to form and functionality in service of implementing the idea. These projects were evaluated by: Marin Balaić (Mit dizajn studio), Hani Domazet, Izvorka Jurić (Dig studio), Ana Lozica (MinusMinus Agency), Fran Mubrin (404 agency), Marin Ostojić (ZOO agencija), Sandi Pego (Rinzol), Hrvoje Škurla (PINK MOON) and Jurica Vuković (Euroart93).
The third group was dedicated to Best Branding & Rebranding, which recognizes the most successful projects in the creation and reshaping of the brand or the visual identity of a particular product, service, or organization. The best projects of this group, as well as the new Best of Packaging group of categories, were chosen by the following design experts Marin Balaić (Mit dizajn studio), Izvorka Jurić (Dig studio), Ana Leko (Šareni artikl), Ana Lozica (MinusMinus Agency), Imelda Ramović (Studio Imeldy), Marko Šesnić (Šesnić&Turković) and Siniša Sudar (Studio Sudar).
You can enter your projects by filling out a simple online application form where you need to list the name of the project, agency and client, the category you are applying for, strategic partners, and the names of the people most responsible for the project’s success. You must present your work by attaching either a video summary (no longer than two minutes long) or a PDF document.
You can enter projects realized in the period from 5 September 2022 until 18 February 2024, which is the eligibility period for IdejaX 2024. The final entry deadline is 28 February 2024 — you snooze, you lose.
