BalCannes is continuing our mission to highlight creative potential, encouraging creatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia to showcase their projects under the spotlight and before a prestigious audience from the communications industry, celebrating excellence together.

NEW TRACK: DESIGN MOSAIC
Starting this year, creatives can win awards in a new track – Design Mosaic. Alongside two familiar tracks, Market Mosaic (for projects competing according to their market category) and Positive Change Mosaic (for projects celebrating social initiatives and the power of creativity to drive positive change), the new Design Mosaic track focuses on the best and most innovative design solutions in advertising. Within Design Mosaic, projects can be submitted in five categories: Branding, Rebranding, Advertising Design, High-Volume Packaging Design (≥ 10,000 units), and Low-Volume Packaging Design (< 10,000 units).
THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT
The Market Mosaic category, which evaluates and rewards projects by business categories in which they typically compete, is introducing a new category. Entertainment will reward projects related to sports, gaming, film, music, and other aspects of popular culture.
3 + 1, 6 + 2, 9 + 3…
All of you that have been busy in the last two years can now take advantage of the 3 + 1 deal, allowing you to submit one additional entry free of charge for every three submitted entries. This includes those who have entered the competition in the last two years. But BalCannes isn’t only supporting its truest fans —there is enough love for everyone to share. If you haven’t submitted work in the past two years, you are eligible for a free first entry. So you have nothing to lose. You can only potentially win the heart of the region.
Complete, integrated campaigns as well as individual, unique elements within a campaign representing a single idea executed during the two-year qualifying period from January 20, 2023, to January 20, 2025, can be submitted. The regular application deadline is 20 December 2024, while the late deadline ends on 20 January 2025.
Applying to BalCannes is extremely simple – just fill out the application form and attach a short video summary or PDF document. All information is available in the BalCannes entry guide and on the competition’s page.
MOSAIC OF CREATIVITY: THE GREAT REGIONAL REPORT
To jog your memory, the last year’s BalCannes Awards Show took place during DK2024, in a fabulous show hosted by Galeb Nikačević Hasci-Jare and Mirela Lela Laković. Following the awards, the BALCANNES MOSAIC OF CREATIVITY report was published and included various rankings of the best projects, advertisers, and agencies in the region, as well as within each participating country. The new competition season will be no different, offering you insights valuable to both agencies and advertisers across the five participating markets.
